Voice Assistant missing after update

I just got a new Sense. The first time I set it up I was able to set up Google Assistant via the Voice Assistant tile in the Sense settings. But then I had connectivity issues and had to do a factory reset. Afterward, the Voice Assistant tile is no longer in the settings, and the Voice Assistant app is not installed on the Sense. I am in the US so it's not a region lock thing. It's like the feature was removed deliberately.

FW version 44.128.4.17

I'm about 30 minutes from returning this thing and forgetting about fitbit forever. I hate this thing, it's been the biggest pain all freaking day.

I think there is a bug, if you logout and login it currently will be necessary to setup/activate Google Assistant again.

Thanks. It seems like everything about this device is a bug. I think the best course is to return it. The Samsung products seem to be a lot more stable. I'm leaving Fitbit for good after this.

Here's how broken this thing is. I got voice assistant working for about an hour. Then I long press the button, and it tells me that it lost connection to my phone. I go over to my phone to see what the deal is, and the next time I try to find my voice assistant, it's completely missing from my watch! It uninstalled itself while it was being used.

It seems that if Google Assistant on the watch loses connection with Google Assistant on the phone, it is removed from the watch. Once its reactivated it comes back.

You can test this by moving the Google Assistant icon from left swipe to the first position. Press and hold and drag it to the first position.

If the Google Assistant connection is broken it disappears from that position and once its reactivated it comes back to that position.

Whats more of an issue is why are you having connection problems.

Do you leave your phone far from your watch and it loses a bluetooth connection? Or some other issue?

Its all working fine for me.
