Watch Stats

I’ve noticed after tracking my stats and wearing my Sense everyday since July 2021 that it continues to have issues with sleep tracking, health metrics and other annoying things. When I wake up after sleeping many times my watch shows not being connected to BT so I manually connect it. None of my other Bluetooth items disconnect.

Then it takes three to four screen pull downs to get the synch to show sleep info, when I get a score and look at health metrics most of the time O2 Sat is missing and other stats. Sometimes after twenty to thirty minutes O2 stat will show up. I’ve done resets, adjusted wrist position and everything else suggested numerous times since last year, however the software is still very wonky! I’m pretty used to it now but these issues should have been addressed in what needs to be more regular updates to the watches software.

It’s a great watch and I love it but I do get frustrated more then I should getting consistent information. Please don’t send any suggestions on what I need to do as I’ve read them all and tried most. It’s FITBIT that needs to make the changes, not me!

Hi @Broadwing  - some patience is required. The data has to be downloaded from the watch and then sent to the Fitbit servers where it is calculated and then sent back to the app for display.

This all takes a fair amount of time depending on the load and traffic.

Not sure about how you reconnect the BT manually but if you logout and login it does it, though probably you need to check your phone settings to make sure the Fitbit App or BT are not being shutdown for battery saving.

I reconnect to my BT on my iPad in settings by hitting the connection icon. Thanks for the reply, I have been patient sometimes waiting for a couple of hours. It’s expected by me now, it’s just frustrating as I’d like to know sooner.

@Broadwing - it probably doesn't help that the watch is not connected during the night to trickle feed the sleep data and it all has to be done in the morning.

It can take quite a while for the data to come back from the servers, a good time to make a coffee and check later.

It would be nice if it were quicker, and  didn't say no data while waiting but gave a more meaningful information, like processing, at least you would know there was something happening.
