Westpac has now declared support for Google Wallet on FitBit devices [1] which was previously claimed as working by FitBit despite being explicitly disclaimed as working by Westpac. (see: [2]) For a long time only the Westpac claim was factually, and actually correct, despite other claims to the contrary by others.
I have managed to install a Westpac card on the FitBit device, something I could not do before. I did have to completely remove the card from the FitBit app and restart the device once, but on the 2nd cycle through the card was deployed to the wallet.
I have not yet used the card to make a purchase but, perhaps naively, I am not expecting problems that that aspect of the process.
