I'm increasingly frustrated with going to my Sense for weather and seeing:
"No location information. Go to the Fitbit mobile app to set up weather". It *IS* set up on my Pixel 4 XL Fitbit app. There's nothing more to do than what I'm doing, yet weather is often out of date or I get a message like the above.
I check the Fitbit app and it says it sync'ed all of 2 minutes ago with no errors, and yet I can't get up to date weather?!
And then, although Google Assistant works fine, when I try to reply to a text by tapping the microphone and saying something, after the 'bouncing dots' it just does...nothing. doesn't send the message, doesn't give me an error, just returns to the watch screen showing the button to do a voice reply.
And I have yet to succeed in making a no-contact payment even though my credit cards are both registered and the wallet is open.
I mean, I just think for all of the good that this watch can do, it is fundamentally letting me down with being CURRENT and up to date with location, weather, etc.

If the weather app has not recently synced.
When requesting weather. The weather app has to get your location, then reach out through your phone, to the weather service. Then wait for a response. Sometimes this may not be fast.
But when requesting the weather, the procedure has started. I wait, or come back to it in a few minutes.
If the weather app has recently synced, no problems, you will see the weather. Yes the weather app does sync in the background, at least will try to.
Voice replays require an Internet connection with the phone.

You may have to turn off power management for the fitbit app. Also a sync of the tracker is not the same as a sync of the weather app, which initiates a sync when weather is requested.

I see that it definitely syncs up after you do that. I guess it just always seems SOMETHING is not working or up to date on the watch.
The other day it went a full 24 hours without syncing and when I tried from the app it gave me the red exclamation mark of death. I had to restart the watch and the app to get it working.

I know you won't want to hear this but factory reset the watch. I also use a Pixel 4 XL. Turn off battery optimization for the Fitbit app too. I even created an entirely new Fitbit account after I factory reset the watch. But now my watch is working properly. Speaker volume on the watch still sucks but only Fitbit can fix that. A reset should fix it up for you. Give it a try. I now get notifications, sleep scores, stress scores, temp readings and so on. Before the factory reset none of those things worked even after a week. So give it a try. It doesn't take very long to set back up butt will take a little longer if you create a new Fitbit account as well, like I did. Pro tip, be very easy when changing watch bands if they're metal because the shiny metal around the Sense screen scratches very easily. It's probably best to use a bumper case or something. I have a wet install protecting the screen but the shiny part of the metal below the screen is already scratched in multiple places. I couldn't believe how easy it scratches.

Thanks for the advice, but it seems like you and I do have some different issues. In my case, I do get notifications, sleep scores, etc, the problem is that it often decides to be done sync'ing and won't anymore until I go and turn everything involved off and on.
