When is the "Readiness Score" feature coming to the Sense Fitbit?

Hello @revfralex and welcome to the Help forum.  Fitbit tends to be tight lipped about a feature exact release date.  Fitbit seems to make an announcement that it is released and not that it will be released on such-and-such date.  Just an observation.

And to clarify, the Readiness Score is a Premium feature that will be available on the app for several models, not just the Sense.

@LZeeW Fitbit / Google must have their own definition of "soon"...

I reckon that is a pretty poor effort on the part of FitBit.

If they announce it, they should deliver...

@LZeeW Fitbit advertises it as available feature (at least for Charge 5). Official ad doesn't say "coming soon". I have seen it posted in social media on 20th October including comments from Fitbit to make sure the latest version of Fitbit app is installed. Charge 5 users don't seem to have this feature either.

Yes, I think it is beyond ridiculous! Very, very upset with FitBit. I think I might have to go to the Social, since obviously not only do they not respect their customers, but they also seemingly pay absolutely ZERO attention to their own Help/Community forums.

@t.parker   My major sources for Fitbit information are the Fitbit section of the Google Keyword and 9to5google.  I see it listed as coming soon when I look at the device Features and Specs in the Fitbit Store, including the Charge 5.  I don't have any other way of finding things out faster than anyone else.

This article from The Keyword show phone images.  It looks like we will get a new tile that will lead us to more advanced information.  I hope it will help me understand why my HRV is so important, because I really don't have a clue.

There used to be a Fitbit Press Release website.  The Keyword replaced it.  That's why I check the Keyword.

That's all I got.

That really good. Thanks Laurie. But where are the actual official FitBit representatives in all this. They are silent. It's not respecting your customers. I remember there was also an issue about a year ago, where there were about 2,000 posts from people pleading/begging for the syncing feature with Trainerize... Still took them more than a year to do it. Very unhappy. Otherwise fitbit is okay.

 @LZeeW

Is HRV important? Yes, and no. You have an x-factor - what the genetic lottery has given you. Approximately 30% of your overall HRV level is determined by your genes. Comparing HRV with others is useless.

What is HRV?

Even when you sit completely still, and let us say with 70 HR, your heart does not beat evenly. HRV is the variation in the time interval between consecutive heartbeats in milliseconds. Fitbit measures HRV in your sleep. When you are resting HRV is higher than when you are in activity. A higher number is good, when you are resting, but because of the x-factor it is more or less impossible to give an interval considered to be within a normal range. If you are on the treadmill, and after warming up, you go directly into a sprint, it is important your heart rate adjusts in an instant, meaning HRV will drop and time interval between consecutive heartbeats as well. Sense cannot give us that number,

Other factors
HRV varies from day to day. In addition to activity level, stress level, hormones, respiration rate, cognitive processes, metabolism, recovery.

Bottom line

HRV say something about how good your heart is at adapting to different situations, such as from low to high activity, and fight or flight response.

Hope you got a better understanding of what HRV is.

@LZeeW all I say is that advertisement (so word of Fitbit) doesn't say coming soon. It says it's there and even in comments Fitbit (not users but Fitbit) doesn't deny and tells to update software. It may be coming soon (whatever definition of "soon" Fitbit uses) but it's not the case in official marketing campaign. The ad appeared on 20th October (maybe sooner but I follow Fitbit UK&Ireland profile, not sure about US or other parts of world) and clearly sayd the feature is ready to use. It shows people using it and when customers ask in comments they can't see it Fitbit tells to update the app. Nothing about coming soon. If somebody buys the device based on this ad (thinking featute is there) then it's kind of misleading, isn't it? That's all. I don't require you to google for me 😄

@revfralex  @LokeAa @t.parker   "Coming soon" is here.  Fitbit started rolling out the readiness score.  I got my tile today.  It will show up as a new tile on your mobile dashboard.

Thank you @LZeeW ,

This the most interesting feature Fitbit has launched. ECG is "a good to have", but I do not have any reason to use it every day, week, or month. Same with snore detection. Neither of those readings will change overnight.

I am curious how they use HRV in the equation. Resting HRV alone is not interesting. It is how your heart responds when you go from low activity to for instance running that matters. Can it be HRV is logged around the clock, but the app only shows data collected in our sleep?

@LokeAa   There is a Help article now.  The section on HRV seems to say that it uses all HRV data, not just sleeping.  That's the way I read it.

Not on my Sense yet. I probably have to wait until an operating upgrade. Is there a way to 'force' Updates?

The recent update for India users has got Daily Readiness Widget. To get data we have to wear it for 4 consecutive days. I am sure slowly others countries will get the updates.
