Maybe coincidence or maybe all my communications made something happen but I just got my shipping confirmation. Estimated delivery date is 10/1 which disappoints me and is exactly why I was trying to pay more for expedited shipping once I realized how long it was taking. But at least I finally know that something is actually happening and I can be done with all this.

Fitbit needs the feedback that they had a fair # of people in US who were first in line to place Pre Orders, only to have people weeks later submit an order and get their devices first. It's obvious their shipping system isn't a first in, first out. It should be. Those that place pre-orders weeks before others should ALWAYS have their orders shipped before other orders in the same region (US for example).
This is something they absolutely need to rectify for future orders. It's absolutely unfair to be one of the first people to place a "Pre-Order" only to have customers in the same region place their orders and still have their devices shipped first even though their order was placed weeks after other orders that have not yet shipped.
What color did you order @sarasmile83 ? That's the only variable. For example, I placed my order on this Monday for carbon/graphite and my order shipped Wednesday. If you ordered gold for example are there others who placed an order for gold after you that had their devices shipped first?
If so hopefully Fitbit fixes this moving forward.

@bobby2478 I did order the gold one and I have been keeping in mind and hoping that the color choice is the difference in shipping speed but who really knows without any real answers from fitbit. If the color is indeed the reason why it took longer I likely would not have changed my mind because that is the color I wanted but at least I would have known what was going on. Customer service basically sounds like they only work off of scripts.

I got an email from Fitbit a while ago informing me that "my Fitbit order is in the post" ....regrettably DPD (the alleged courier) are continually denying receiving anything from Fitbit.
Rather sadly, there was similar behaviour from another company in the UK a few months ago. Eventually, there was an admission that the item was very popular and the sales outfit made commitments way beyond their delivery capability....it appears that issuing shipping notices to customers without items to send to their couriers was a ploy to conceal their short term delivery problems....
Have you contacted FedEx to confirm they have received the item from Fitbit?

So my FItbit which was scheduled to arrive tomorrow and was in the same state as me, is now 700 miles away and coming on Saturday. I paid for 2-day shipping. I tweeted support but no response. I want a refund on the shipping.

Interesting to see that they won't ship to the Dutch customers before October, as mine has been shipped *from* the Netherlands *to* Germany yesterday and is supposed to be delivered today. So from my point Fitbit not only kept their "promise" but sent it a day before the official shipping date.

I actually just cancelled my order yesterday evening. Just went to the Media Markt this morning before work and bought 2x Fitbit Sense off the shelf lol..

Sense was pre ordered on the 31 Aug 2020 on the basis of shipping by the 25 Sept 2020 and also that payment would be taken upon shipping.
Received email from Fitbit stating shipping made on the 24 September. Fitbit took payment on the 24 September 2020. However, their courier DHL unable to confirm their receipt of the item from Filbit.
Fitbit, in spite of their previous email on the 24 September 2020 and subsequent telcons confirming shipping , stated on the 25 September that the item was not shipped and was not immediately available for shipping. Fitbit are unable to tell me when the item will be available for shipping.
Given their failure to commit to their timescales for shipping as part of the pre-order I asked for an immediate refund.
They declined although I suggested that they might be contravening UK (and EU) consumer rights

Same here, but they've took the money and it be too much aggro trying to get refunded.
So people who paid direct to fitbit to preorder will it turns out actually git it last....

@NeilFinny @I know! It’s **ahem**. This was my argument to them on the phone a couple of days ago and they couldn’t have cared less. Absolutely appalling service. I ordered mine on 26/8 and they took the money on the 21/9 but did nothing until I got the shipping email yesterday. But there’s no tracking data so clearly not even handed to DPD yet.

I ordered my Sense on August 31st (from the US). I got an email yesterday (Wednesday) saying it was shipping with a Fed ex tracking number. Track via fed ex and they have only "received the shipping information". The package has not actually arrived at Fed ex. It is estimated to get to me on Wed Sept 30th. (I did not pay for expedited shipping).
I too am regretting ordering from the fitbit site.
Oh well, I hope I like it when it gets here.

After several telecons and emails, Fitbit appeared little interested in UK (and EU) consumer rights stating they were following their "procedure" for refunds .....I reminded them what ever their "procedure" it does not take precedence over UK (and EU) law. A wake up call for most businesses but not Fitbit ...just was met with continued mutterings over their holier than thou "Fitbit Proceedures"....
According to UK Citizens advice:
You can cancel and ask for your money back if something you ordered hasn't arrived on the date you agreed with the seller - if it was essential to receive it by then (for example, for an event)......as it turn out my purchase is for an event....not that it would apparently make any differences to execution of their "procedures".
It appears that Fitbit's refusal to consider ANY canceling of pre-orders which fail to meet the 25 September 2020 dispatch commitment whilst taking payment for non dispatch lacks any notion of Business Ethics and possibly worse.

Lucky you...life's too short to deal with Fitbit nonsense...have resorted to my bank to recover my money...Fitbit have taken my money with out shipping or even able to supply when a device will be available for shipping!

I'm so glad I actually snapped yesterday and made the decision to cut the rope early...
Can't wait to go home in a couple hours to set up the devices with the missus...

If it is has bad as they say it is I might be waiting a week to get it to just send it back, I'll probs go for the circle Venu and keep the ionic aswell.
