Firstly are you sure you want to give your watch permission to the Internet, who knows what it might do, and what would be the usage on the battery and Internet usage via the phone.
If you want to grant it, go back to where you loaded clock face in the Fitbit App and click on the clock, then "See all details" at the bottom and then on Permissions.

You should have been asked to grant permission slurring the install process.

Same problem. I can't go back to the clock face because all I have is the message and the shortcut button. I don't want my watch connecting to the internet. Even resetting (hold until logo appears) don't help, just that message.

@RTurnock you might want to pick a clock face that doesn't need the Internet to display types of data that will only be found by going to the Internet.
Weather is one type of info that needs the Internet.
Surfing conditions would be another type of data. Some clock faces may display the leader board and this data comes from the fitbit server.
As for apps on the watch.
Weather, recent activities, ranking, last night sleep, all require access to the Internet.
Basically when one purchases an Internet connected device, they should assume that an Internet connection would be needed.
