SpO2 data unreliable with some clock faces

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Could it be,
that SpO2 works ONLY when I have the "SpO2 Signature" face on overnight,
but NOT when I have "SpO2 Waveform" or "SpO2 Active" face overnight? (??)

  (Fitbit represantatives, pleas comment ...)

Hi @pavfer. Welcome on board.

Thanks for sharing these details. This is odd as if the SpO2 Tracker app is installed, your watch should track your SpO2 data regardless of the clock face you're using. Because this isn't the case, are you able to see your SpO2 data in the Today app of the Sense and Health Metrics tile of the Fitbit app? Do you see an error message when using other clock faces?

In the meantime, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Sense > Apps.
  2. Look for SpO2 Tracker and check if there isn't any pending update. Also, make sure the permissions are enabled.
  3. Tap Today at the bottom of the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  4. Restart your Sense to refresh its performance.
  5. Wear your watch slightly higher on your wrist and sync once you're awake to check your data.

Hope this helps.

I apologize, no time to experiments at the moment,
I just remained with "SpO2 Signature" and it works each night thereafter.

Some developer could maybe look into implementation of the 3 faces,
and tell, whether the difference in behavior could make some sense,
or it must have been random ...

Have a good one.

Yesterday I have chosen "SpO2 active" and
and did not touch it over night,
and it it worked,
so it seems to be OK at least in that "workflow".

Conjecture:
Could it be, that that "Couldn't read SpO2" message comes in cases,
when you have switched DURING THE NIGHT
from one of the faces supporting SpO2
  (i.e. "SpO2 Signature", "SpO2 Waveform", "SpO2 Active")
to another one?

Hi @pavfer. I hope you're doing well.

Thanks for getting back with detailed information about the clock faces. It's kind of weird as your Sense should track your SpO2 data regardless of the clock face you're using or if it's changed, as long as the SpO2 Tracker app is installed. Because you didn't have be time before, please try the suggestions shared in my post in case you haven't done so to see if your watch tracks this data correctly.

If by any chance you keep getting the "Couldn't read SpO2" message, try swiping to the left and opening the Today app to see if your SpO2 data appears there. Also, confirm, if the SpO2 data appears in the Health Metrics tile of the Fitbit app.

Hope this helps.
