Probably telling you when you reach different heart rate zones.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi there @Vicki1954, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help you with your inquiry about the buzzes your Sense makes when you're working out on the elliptical.

As @JohnnyRow stated, it's probably to be the heart rate zones. On Fitbit Sense, the number of times it buzzes indicates which zone you’re in:

Number of Buzzes Heart-Rate Zone
1 buzz Below zones
2 buzzes Fat burn zone
3 buzzes Cardio zone
4 buzzes Peak zone

For more information, see: What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device?

Hope this clarifies your inquiry, let us know if you have any further questions present.

Can you turn off the heart rate zone buzz during specific exercises?  During my walk I find it distracting and hard to distinguish when I get my mile 'buzz' -thanks in advance for your response.

Hi there @MBwalkingMB, thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. Yes, you can turn off zone notifications on you watch.

In order to do, please:

  1. On your watch, open the Exercise app and swipe to find an exercise.
  2. Swipe up, and tap the switch icon under Heart zone notifications.

Also, for weekly Active Minute Zones notifications:

  1. On your watch, open the Settings app > Goal reminders.
  2. Tap Active Zone Minutes goal.

Let me know if you need further help, I'll be around. 🙂

Thank you!  I wish the stopping of an exercise was easier - I seem to have a hard time access the stop/pause but I'm sure I'll get used to it (just wish it was like the Versa 2 as an option on the screen as soon as you accessed the screen).

Is there a way to turn off notifications for all exercises at the same time or do you have to do it individually?
