I let the watch battery drop to zero for an extended period and now that it is charged it tells me to download Fitbit app. On my phone, a prompt pops up and prompts me to set the watch up. If I proceed with the setup it asks if I'm replacing the watch but no option for 'no'. If I go through the app, it sees the watch and syncs but says I need to update it. Either way if I go through setup, either through wifi or via Bluetooth it appears to install the download, restarts the watch and shows a progress indicator (shading left to right) as if it is installing the download and then just proceeds to tell me me to download the app. Just to cover all typical bases, I have...restarted the watch, cleared cache, cleared memory, uninstalled and re-installed app from my phone,...numerous times in numerous orders. Bought last November.

Hi @Eggs23 - Did you restart the phone also?
You need to say yes replace, and allow the update if it needs one.
For that the watch needs to be on charge and both the phone and watch near the same 2.4 GHz wifi for best results.
If you don't succeed you can chat in the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support to get further guidance.

I have. I cleared all app data and cache, uninstalled and powered down the phone completely. Reinstalled app, downloaded the update to the watch both via WiFi and via bluetooth. The download shows progress on the watch and on the phone, the watch automatically restarts when the download is complete, after restart the watch appears to be installing as it shows a progress indicator. Once the progress indicator makes it all the way across the watch face it goes back to the "Download Fitbit App" animation that says the same thing in every language on the planet. If I look at the phone it says 'update failed' and asks to retry over Bluetooth, which I have done. Takes longer but essentially does the same thing. I will try the chat.

Does the watch show as connected in your fitbit app? Have you tried the option to first remove your device from the fitbit app? You get the replace option because you still have a tracker connected.
Once you get the message to update, I assume you say yes to update.
Try holding the button for 10 seconds to restart the Sense.

I think the watch is a goner. I've gone through all the same steps over and over with tech support and even though it shows it connected and completing the firmware download and install...the watch restarts itself and shows the install progress and then just goes back to the install 'Fitbit app' prompt while my phone says the update failed.
