"Auto-Pause" When Walking?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Am I just overlooking it, or is it impossible to set an auto-pause function when using the Sense when walking? When using GPS during a walk, unless I remember to pause/resume I catch myself failing to pause it if I stop to talk to someone or whatever, which totally skews my time and pace. Even the Runkeeper app on my iphone can do this.

Hi. I couldn't find auto pause for walking on the watch. I hope there will be an update that adds that.  In the meantime, I sometimes

use  "run" and have auto pause on, even though I'm walking.

There is no auto pause with walking. Set it to running which has auto pause and walk like you would normally walk. I wonder if they will ever release an update to end all these complaints.

To this point is there a difference between the "Running" vs "Walking" exercise? Meaning what's the harm of using "Running" and just walking other then the fact the activity name in your history will reflect a Run instead of a Walk?

Since they are both nearly identical outside of the name hopefully they provide an update that provides parity between the 2

@TTLAY   The Charge 5 has an auto-pause option for the Run shortcut, but not Walk or Bike.  You can find this in the Run settings on the device itself.  Charge 5 manual   This feature was added to the Sense 2/Versa 4.  I doubt that Fitbit will add it to your Charge 5 or my Versa 3.  Fitbit just doesn't seem to work that way.
