I've been consistenly getting low 80 scores for sleep (aside from when I'm ill or drunk, lol) for years. In the last 2 weeks my scores have dropped to mid/high 70s. Amount of sleep is the same, sleep/wake times are the same, the % of each type of sleep is the same - I'm comparing what look like identical sleep profiles from now and 2 months ago and one is a 77 and the other an 84.
I feel fine, I'm not ill, I'm as refreshed as usual. So what gives? Is this a google thing, screwing around with the baselines or something?

The sleep tracking has changed in the last 2 weeks and I am posting on June 30, 2025. My Awake total is typically 1 hour or so a night. Now it is 2 hours. How does it just double from one week to the next? My sleep/wake times are the same, my schedule is the same, I have not done anything differently, I feel the same - not any more tired or awake than usual. What's going on? I too wondered if this is a google thing. I have been deleting my sleep data as it just seems so wildly inaccurate. If this continues I will switch to another tracker.

I’m having the same problem. Last week my sleep duration went from 7 hrs to 5 and stays there regardless of how long I’ve slept. My scores from hand mid 80s to 60s

Same here too! Within last couple of weeks. Showing now that I’m awake 2-3 hours (previously maybe an hour) and sleep is 4-5 hours whereas before it was about 7 hours. I don’t understand it as I have changed nothing. I don’t like it and I don’t believe it because I don’t get sleepy during the day and feel the same as before.

I have the same problem. I use a Sense. Sleep tracking has been consistent over the last few years. Average AWAKE time is about 1 plus hour. Since about 1 week ago, I notice that my AWAKE jumped up to 4 plus hours. I did not change a bit my sleeping habit and I felt I am sleeping well all these while.
Earlier there was this STEP counts going wild. Now sleep tracking also shows unpleasant analysis.

By the way, my wife’s Charge 6 does not have this problem. So besides Sense and Sense 2, what other models are showing the same problem?

Oops! Does it mean that this problem is not model dependent, and may be user dependent?

I’m still having this problem. Wish there would be some sort of answer to the problem! I just more or less ignore my sleep section now.

Never got an answer. Fitbit fixes failed. No explanation. I bought an Apple watch, says I am awake 30 min/night, cf 2.5-3.5 hrs per Fitbit.

Fully agree with you. I am inclining to do the same by abandoning Fitbit and go for any brand.
Actually a fortnight ago, I bought a new Charge 6 from Amazon just for the purpose of verifying the sleep tracking. The same problem persisted.
But Worse still, the HR tracking was totally useless. This means that all HR related functions are not usable.
