I routinely get less than 60% efficient sleep. I'm wondering how the sleep is monitored and if this might be a health problem. I'm thinking of talking to my doctor, but not sure he will think the fitbit reliable information.

if we get up to pee, do we have to click, i'm awake, or does it pick up that you are awake.

I started using about 2 weeks ago. I have it on my non-dominant hand and I get between 94%-97%. You have to make it go into sleep mode. Either tapping your fitbit about 5 times or turn it on with your phone app. Haven't had a problem with it starting and stopping. I will read the article about how the fitbit monitors sleep since I would like to know too.

It registers "up to pee" time as awake. Will be a red line on the chart.

Yes if you do not go into sleep mode with your fitbit, just leave it you can manually input your sleep on your computer for the previous night.

Had to be quite brutal with my fitbit to get into sleep mode, lots of hitting on top until it buzzed and showed only one light.
Guess it gets a rest when you are re-charging it.
