Hi sleepy Community members!
Does your sleep log look something like this?
If you think your log is inaccurate when it shows this much restlessness, you're not alone! A lot of Fitbit users have sleep logs like this, and many times it's due to the fact that Sleep settings are on "Sensitive" mode instead of "Normal" mode. A little about these two modes:
We strongly suggest that most users use the Normal setting. To change your settings to Normal, follow these steps, or visit our help article!
I hope this helps - let me know if you have any trouble changing this setting or if you have seen a difference in the accuracy of your sleep log after switching!

I respectfully disagree. My husband's Charge 3 all of a sudden is showing my sleep record on his Fitbit screen on his phone. All his other reports show his info except the one for sleep. I have a Charge 2 & it shows my sleep report on my phone. Can't find any answers to this issue.

That is interesting: my wife bought me a samsung for xmas, I wound up getting a refund, it was no where near as good as my blaze. Wondered about Garmin, have several of their products including an edge, and found them very complicated to set up. I don't need a gps on my watch, all I really want is an accurate sleep tracker that gives the same data (deep, lite, rem) as well as benchmarks as fitbit has.
My Blaze has been discontinued, rightly so; as I had it replaced 3 times.

I don't see a sleep sensitivity setting anywhere. I dodnt have any issues until this past Monday. Suddenly it is not recognizing when I am asleep properly.

I recently purchased a Versa 2 because in all the reviews I read it always came out as the best sleep tracker on the market. The reason I wanted a sleep tracker is because I have not slept well for some time and wanted to know with reasonable accuracy how much sleep I actually get each night. I go to bed about 10pm. My sleep has gotten worse recently and I have been waking up about 1 am. I lay in bed with my eyes closed trying to get back to sleep and do sleep for some periods between 1 and 6am, but stay awake for most of the time. Between 6am and 8am I am awake the whole time, and I get up at 8am. I am in bed a total of 10 hours per night. The sleep tracker shows that I have slept an average of 10h 58 min over the past 5 days. I have tried both normal and sensitive settings. The sensitive settings show me sleeping longer. Last night I used the normal settings and the tracker showed me sleeping 8h 28 min. On a good night I was sleeping 6 hours waking up at 4am. Now I estimate I am only getting around 3 or 4 hours sleep. I don't understand why the sleep tracker shows me sleeping so much when I know for a fact that I lay awake most of the night trying to get to sleep. Not sure what purpose the tracker serves. If you sleep well there is no problem, you really don't need to worry about tracking your sleep. If you have problems sleeping the tracker is unable to tell whether or not you are awake and how much sleep you are getting each night.

In case you have not already figured this out. Go to your dashboard, select the third icon on the top right, go down to settings, scroll down to sensitivity and check your preference.

I have mine on sensitive because I do have a sleeping disorder. I also sleep much longer than the Fitbit will track. Can't get help from support on how to change the setting so that it tracks when I'm sleeping into the daytime hours. I don't sleep regular hours like most. Anyone else have this issue and have found a solution?

I have an issue that regardless of what time I wake up, it reports that I wake up at 4:30 (or within a few minutes of) when this just isnt the case.
Have tried a different wrist, sensitive, normal. All useless.
Any ideas?

If you wake and go back to sleep during the day, it will not track untill it has 3 hrs of data.
I have a Blaze, that was replaced 3 times under warranty. It is very hit and miss, for example on Tues I had 4hrs 17min with tracking, I was up an hour and then it showed 4hrs 36min sleep with no tracking, go figure, the watch was in the same position. This company is one big money grab, but still better than anyone else, ie samsung I returned because it said I was sleeping when reading, whitings reviews on trust pilot are about as bad as what fitbit gets. Maybe when Google takes over they might do something, but that is a ways down the road, and even more of your private health data will be sold.

I have went from Alta to inspire HR for better quality however it is always inaccurate mostly daily sleep pattern!! And if set manual how do you know how to calculate different stages when you can’t do it right to begin with? Guessing don’t cut it for 150$!!!

I have a Versa 2 and I think its reasonably accurate, maybe 70% of the time. Even though I don't have stats to prove it, I think Tuner is correct. I sometimes move around a fair bit while I sleep and I suspect that is the time when the device thinks I am awake.

I'm having similar issues. It is set at normal and have chunks of time not recorded at all. For instance, I when to bed at 10:40 last night and fell right to sleep. However, my fitbit versa doesn't show any sleep time recorded until 12:03 am. This has become a frequent scenario.
