Pixel Watch 2 sleep data is inaccurate

My sleep date is inaccurate. For the last two nights, at least, my sleep time is inaccurate. I know I went to bed after 2 am and this has me in bed at 11 pm and in a deep sleep at 2 am. The following night/early morning I woke up early to go to the airport and it has me in a deep sleep during the time that I was driving and going through security at the airport. There's no way it's this inaccurate. I also havent changed time zones. The last time I was in a different time zone was 6 months ago. Any idea how to fix?

Hello @Samsamsamsamsam

Which Fitbit device are you using?

Have you tried editing your sleep logs to correct your sleep start and end times?

It's a Google pixel watch 2. Only one of the times is off. So for the one where I was up until 2, I remember waking up at 645 and that's accurate. The one where I woke up to go to the airport and it has me in deep sleep during the drive and in the line for security has the correct bed time.

Hello @Samsamsamsamsam

Thank you for letting us know that you have a Pixel Watch 2.

Every now & then, my sleep log in the Fitbit app doesn't have the correct start or end time. When this happens, I'll edit the sleep log to use the correct times. I've also gotten a sleep log when I'm sitting and working on the computer. It's easy to delete the erroneous sleep log.

If you haven't done this before, this help page has the instructions on how to edit the Fitbit app sleep log  (<-- click link).

Regarding the deep sleep tracking during your drive and being in the security line, apparently all the conditions were right for the Pixel Watch 2 to track as deep sleep. During a drive, you're not moving much. Your heart rate and breathing rate were likely at the lower end, as well.

By any chance, do you happen to notice if bedtime mode was turned off when you did your drive? If bedtime mode was enabled during your drive, that might explain why it tracked as deep sleep. But it doesn't explain why it tracked deep sleep when you were in the security line since you are walking. Very perplexing...

I have a Charge 6 and my sleep log has been laughably inaccurate.  The app will not let me edit or delete the wrong info, it shuts down the app completely back to my phones Home Screen when I hit the edit sleep or delete sleep options.  I have also tried to manually log the correct sleep data, but it says it cannot log as there is already data for that time.  Has anyone recently had this problem again?
It shows I slept from 6:56 AM - 3:09 PM, in part of that time I was walking around in a store.  It also shows Other sleep 6:06 pm - 2:14 pm and says that sleep was 1h 5m.  Actually would have been 20h 8m.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still shows the same info.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello @TalkymA

There's been some reporting of recent issues with sleep tracking data, including the app showing double tracking for the same time period. However, it seems that the issue has been resolved in the back end, based on the posts I've read.

Please let us know if you're still seeing weird sleep tracking in the app.

When you get a message that a sleep log/data already exists, go back to the previous day and look for a partial sleep log as Additional sleep. Once you delete the partial log, you should be able to edit your sleep log.

Thanks for the response.  The data seems to be logging correctly now.  That seems to be the only day with the issues.  I still am unable to edit or delete the incorrect log for that day, as the app closes as soon as I hit either option.
Overlapping sleep logs is most likely the issue with using “+ Log sleep” but I am still unable to edit or delete, so I can’t try that.
However, the main issues seem to be corrected, so I’m going to leave as is.  Thanks again!

Hello @TalkymA

Thanks for letting us know that your sleep data is logging correctly now.

Sorry to see that you're still having issues with correcting the erroneous log. Since you've already tried uninstalling & reinstalling without success, I'm not sure what other troubleshooting steps to try to fix it. It might take another app update to fix the problem you're seeing.

FWIW, I believe I saw there's a Fitbit app update that started rolling out last week.
