Regarding REM & deep sleep

It appears that depending on the night I'm getting an hour and a half or less of REM and approximately 2-3 hours of deep sleep with obviously the majority of my sleep cycle in a light sleep. I so take a prescription ay night to help me sleep and if I have it usually 20mg of Melatonin. I also have sleep apnea so I'm sleeping with a full face mask. Pretty much every night my boyfriend and I have for instance meditation music on. I keep all lights at the bare minimum, I turn down the brightness on our TV lights and mostly use red. I sleep in comfy clothes, I sleep with a fan on and our bed isn't the most comfortable. How can I get more REM & deep sleep? I feel like I sleep in intervals, like naps really. It causes me daytime sleepiness most days.

Hello @Kendopanda

It sounds like you're doing what you can to improve your sleep. I'm sure it's more of a challenge when you have a medical condition, like sleep apnea, too.

If you haven't already done so, you might consider discussing your sleep quality with your doctor/healthcare provider. I would think they should be able to make recommendations based on your medical history.
