As my dad’s caregiver I have relied on his Fitbit to track his sleep. Although I know the accuracy isn’t 100% in his case because it’s hard to tell whether the light sleep is sleep or him just lying there, the amounts of REM and Deep sleep give me an idea of how he slept. They’ve correlated with his mood and energy the next day and help me know how he’s sleeping because he cannot tell me himself.
please bring this back or we’re going to have to go to an Apple Watch where at least you can purchase apps to monitor sleep

Hello @Chasbo60 and welcome to the Community. Fitbit didn't take the sleep stages away. Any user can get sleep patterns instead of sleep stages from time to time. The most common reason is that the Fitbit couldn't collect the detailed heart rate data that it needs to calculate sleep stages.
