Hello @shankar083
Which Fitbit device do you use?
Are you also having problems with heart rate tracking? Do you see a green light on the back of your Fitbit? The green light is the heart rate sensor & is needed for sleep tracking.

I think it’s important to check if the heart rate sensor is functioning properly since it plays a key role in sleep tracking. Shankar, have you noticed any issues with heart rate monitoring, or is the green light working as it should?
Also, sometimes a software update can cause tracking issues, so it might be worth checking if your device needs an update. Hopefully, we can get to the bottom of this!

I just got a Fitbit Charge 6. It won’t automatically track sleep. I have to hit the Log sleep button. And it doesn’t give the REM, Deep Sleep, Light sleep metrics.

Hello @Scott_Leger
When you manually start your sleep tracking, you won't get the sleep stages graphs. The Fitbit device has to automatically track your sleep to get the sleep stages graph.
Please let us know what you've already tried to get your sleep tracking working with your Charge 6.

The only way it shows any sleep metrics at all is if I manually hit the log sleep button. The things I have tried are too long to list. If it has been suggested in the forums. I have done it.
This is what I get everyday.

Hello @Scott_Leger
By any chance, are you having any problems with heart rate tracking? Do you see a green light, the heart rate sensor, on the back of the Charge 6?
And, just to confirm, you don't have any tattoos or scars on your wrist area where you wear your Charge 6. Tattoos, scars, as well as hairy areas on the wrist where the device typically sits can interfere with the heart rate sensor working properly.
Have you tried moving the Charge 6 to the inside of your wrist? That's worked for some users.

Heart rate tracking seems to work fine. And yes there is a green light. I know it’s tracking something but it doesn’t do it automatically. I have to manually log sleep. So it is watching. I will try moving the watch to the inside of the wrist. That makes sense.
