Sleep tracking

I hate this new format. It’s a downgrade from what there was before. It doesn’t give me the information I came to rely on. It also short changes me on the amount of sleep it says I’ve gotten.  Not helpful & just looks like a ploy to get us to pay for premium. Bring back the old format.

I have premium, its also not there, so that's not the problem. FITBIT has programmed it out of the app completely, in a seemingly continuing effort to degrade a fine piece of software to the point of being utterly useless, or at least far inferior to all the competition in the market.

Perhaps Alphabet bought fitbit to kill in off slowly enough to accommodate that the fitbit customers move to some Alphabet produced smartwatch? (Coming soon to a webpage near you) Unfortunately that is not going to happen, we will all have bought some cheapo Chinese thing, a Korean thing or even an Apple thing.

The information everybody is looking for in the sleep parts of the app is nowhere to be found, its been removed back in April to great dismay of customers 😞

Hello everybody looking for updates to the much dissed sleep tracking.

To be fair, it seems that the sleep data has been introduced again after being missed.

On top of the many thousands of complaint since the new design was introduced some time last fall, then on June 29th 2024 the detailed view of sleep phases disappeared. I was lingering about a month before I made a few posting here crying the problem, since its important for a great number of people that the sleep tracking is actually working properly. This change on 29th June simplified the view to awake, Restless and Asleep. Totally useless for most.

But, lo and behold, the much needed and for many vital ”sleep stages” data came back on August 3rd 2024! Even with the benchmarking and ”30 day average” Thank you very much whoever at fitbit took care of this. It looks like it came with a update labelled 4.22 (Not sure about this though)

Additional info: For those who prefers the old design; Its possible to view your data in the old design if you go to the new ”you” tab on the front, from there goto community feed, tab the ½ moon (Sleep icon) several times and you will eventually get to the old design with data in that nice familiar design.

Cheers

Mike
