apnea appliance

Has anyone used a mouth appliance to help with sleep apnea? I have been hesitant to do so b.c. Of TMJ; however the CPAP has not worked well for me.

I have Narval CC from my dentist. I wanted to avoid using the CPAP and the surgery, so I went this route. It took a few trial and error to get the optimal fit. So far so good. Without insurance, it cost $2,500. Lucky for me, it BCBS covered 80%.

I have no problem with TMJ with the mouthguard. It's pretty flexible and I very comfortable. Also I have been forcing myself to sleep on the sides, which my significant other said helps out alot with the mouthguard. Hope this helps.
