It's great to see you around @Jewjew. Please confirm you are doing the following to set your alarms from your Android Fitbit app:
1. Tap Settings
2. Tap Alarms
3. Tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner
4. Enter your information
5. Tap Save
6. Sync
Since if you are following these steps you should be able to see an image like the following, where the AM and PM are visible:
