Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunriseRun433. It's great to have you here. This issue sounds weird. I would recommend performing a restart to your Fitbit Surge. If you keep having the same issue please set up your tracker as a replacement device. This should settle everything up.

@SunriseRun433 Also, make sure you have the alarms set up. Go to your settings > silent alarms. Once you have set up an alarm make sure to sync the tracker afterwards. Doing this will save your alarm for it to work properly.

This has happened to me too. I suspect it occurs when I forget to cancel an alarm, then go to bed. It's easy to bump the pause button during a moment of restlesness while asleep. This will then trigger the alarm again in nine minutes. Short of a malfunction, it's the only explanation I've come up with.
