Alarms Springing Forward!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Anyone else wake up late this morning because your alarm settings "sprung forward" an hour?  Well I did.  Really sucked!

The time was correct on my Surge along with my phone, so I never thought to look at my alarm settings.  I don't remember having this problem when I had the Flex this time last year.

I just checked on my Surge and you're right! I usually have my alarm set to 8AM but it's now showing 9AM. I'm going to have to go back and fix this! Seems Fitbit doesn't handle daylight savings time changes properly.

Hello there @sidran32 and @Krystyne! I'll be happy to help you with this. To resolve this, I recommend restarting your Surge tracker. Then try to force quit your Fitbit app and sync. This should refresh all the information on your tracker and phone. If after doing this, the issue persists, try to set up your tracker as a new device.

iOS:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account tab.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Android:

  1. m the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
  2. Tap Devices.
  3. Tap the + icon in the top right corner.
  4. If you're replacing a tracker, tap the tracker you want to replace. If you're setting up a new tracker, tap Add a new Device.
  5. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Let me know how this goes!

I just tried these instructions with the force stop & it changed nothing. So I reinstalled the device & still nothing on my fitbit alta.

Hey there @Minniemay! Welcome to the Family! Heart

We're aware that some features that may be affected by the clock shift that Daylight Saving Time. So, please restart your Alta. And I'd recommend deleting the alarms and reset them again, you can sync your tracker later on. Is the time on your Alta on time? If not try restarting your phone to make sure the time is correct there first, and then sync your tracker.

As a general rule of thumb, we recommend turning on All Day Sync so that your tracker has the best chance of being up to date. We're looking into how we can prevent this from repeating in the future. Thanks for your understanding!

Give it a shot and let me know if that works! Cat Happy
