Do you mean the total distance tracked by fitbit or the total of just your runs? If it's the total distance tracked then you can get this by going to your profile by clicking your profile picture on the dashboard at www.fitbit.com
On there you'll see a "My Achievements" section where you can select your lifetime steps, distance and floors.
I can't find a way to see your overall average steps without the messy calculation using your lifetime steps and working out how many days since your started. It does sound like something that ought to there somewhere. If it is hopefully someone will tell us. I keep a spreadsheet of my stats (yes, it's sad) and calculate my average there.

I suspect you mean how many running miles you've logged versus total miles (which includes walking). Yes, no?
I've wondered the same thing and have pretty much come to the conclusion the Fitbit software doesn't allow that kind of granularity. Instead, I just keep my old fashioned Excel spread sheet (which predated my fitbit by many years) updated with my running miles. 🙂
