Hi. I must say that i am extremely disappointed with the lighting of the Surge. I received it as a birthday present and have a friend who has a much cheaper fitbit that is way brighter. I just want to take it back and get another model. Is there any way if doing that??

Thank you for your feedback. Fitbit Surge doesn't have specifically a light on it, but you can check the "Backlight" option, it is on your Fitbit Settings, swiping the screen to "Settings" > "Backlight" > "Auto or On". If you already tried this option and you still feel it is too dark for you, please keep an eye in your email inbox, you'll get some information about your case.

Thankyou for your response. I have tinkered with the backlight options and still cant believe how dark it is compared to cheaper models. Im just so disappointed as I've always wanted a fitbt bit seem to have got a model everyone is complaining about. I just wish i had a different model.

Hi

It may be possible to exchange at the store of purchase with the purchase receipt or by requesting a refund by contacting the fitbit support team when the tracker has been purchased from the fitbit online store and having the tracker less than 45 days. Though the receipt can be required and / or your friend who gave it as gift contacting the support team regarding the refund.

It's up to fitbit to decide regarding warranty, refunds..
