I have purchased a Fitbit Surge. Now that I have finally figured out how to turn the backlight, is there a way to adjust the brightness because there still isn't much lighting, not like with my Hr.  Brightness displayed on the picture on the box was what I expected. Love other features!

@LC71 Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit the Community! Hey that's odd. I'd like to see what you're seeing; therefore I'd like to request if you could post a pic with your Surge's backlight on, in comparison to the box. Please try to take the pic in a dim-lighted place so we can properly compare. Cat Very Happy I'll be looking forward to your new comments!

If I remember the box correctly, doesn't it show the screen when the Surge is tracking an activity where it shows multiple items depending on the activity being tracked (walk, run etc)?

When not tracking an activity the screen is limited to date and time.

I also found the backlight barely noticeable during the day but it was fine in the dark.

@SteveH thanks for your input! I also remember the backlight working fine when required (in the night or in a dim-lighted place). @LC71 at this moment, I don't think there is a way to adjust the backlight of your Surge. However, I'd encourage you to post your comments and vote for this idea proposed by another user. It's about adding a feature to adjust the backlight of your Surge's display. I'll be looking forward to your new comments! Cat Tongue

Thanks for your replies but I really wasn't happy with the lighting on mine but I did give it a chance. after wearing it for a few days it wasn't syncing accurate floors. If I walked 3 floors it would say 19, once even said 39, so I took it back. The retailer said he thought it was defected so he gave me a refund. Now I'm using my Charge HR again.

@LC71 I'm sorry to read about the bad luck you had with your Surge. Please note that Fitbit will always stand behind the product and the next step would have been to contact our Support Team via chat, email or live call for them to give you a second opinion. However, it's good to know that you're still within the Fitbit family by wearing your Charge HR. Let me know if you have any other question, I'll be around!
