For the past few months, my Surge's battery has been draining more and more quickly. It's at about half life by noon just sitting at my desk at work. I have all turned off all syncing, HR, backlight, etc and it makes no difference. I have to charge it every night, and battery status display shows full charge in the morning. Today I manually synced at noon after a quick walk, and I had appx 5000 steps. Now at 1:45, my Surge says the time is 3:21, 313 steps, 0.13 miles, and 149 calories burned. I tried restarting several times, also shutdown. It's less than 2 years old, received it as a gift in Oct 2015.
Any ideas? Or is it just dying?

It's not that my Surge won't charge. It's fully charged in the morning after charging all night. It just drains too fast throughout the day.
My husband bought it for me when I started running. I've only had it a year and a half. Since I don't really run in the winter, due to cold temps and ice, I've only had it for one running "season". I'm sorry, I can't afford to buy a new one every year, even with a discount. That's ridiculous.

I am having similar battery issue as OP.
Fitbit does not offer discount. What support will offer is expedited shipping on a new Fitbit tracker and they will keep offering that to you even if you decline repeatedly because that's about all they could do.
$300 AUD + on a device that will only be supported for a year and develop battery issues right after is a joke IMO.
edit: they also do not offer any paid repair service.
