Bluetooth Sync working eraticly on Surge

My Surge no longer syncs by itself like it used to. I used to have two entires in the bluetooth on my iphone 6, now i only have the classic entry. I haev tried to remove it and readd it and onloy the classic entry remains.

I am having the same problem. All weekend, syncing has been erratic, today I couldn't get it to sync at all. I've tried restarting it, shutting it down, rebooting my devices, turning the bluetooths off, then on. This is getting frustrating.

 

I had a Flex and that never worked properly, then I got the Surge as a birthday gift, I couldn't use it for almost 3 weeks because the first one didn't work, the replacement worked well until this weekend, just 5 months in.

Does anyone have any other solutions rather than turning it off, then on? (Which seems to be the tech equivalent of whacking the side of the television to clear the static.)
