Bluetooth not syncing Fitbit surge

Had surge since march 2016 recently had screen issues but today it won't synch, my Bluetooth will not connect to my phone, as soon as I put Bluetooth on my Fitbit it switches itself off, I have contacted support today hoping under guarantee and get it sorted

I'm glad to know that you've been a loyal user using your Surge for more than a year! When you said that the Bluetooth is not connecting to the phone, is because your phone Bluetooth is not finding the Fitbit or you're using the Bluetooth Classic from the Fitbit itself? Cat Frustrated

 

I'd suggest trying these steps to sync your Fitbit with your mobile device, please make sure your phone and Fitbit App are up to date.
