Hello
I've just bought the surge, and yesterday I took 35639 steps and it showed me that I've burned 6189 calories. For a simillar day my microsoft band ususally showed me 3200 ish. I saw I should turn the heart rate monitor off, but then what's the point to have a fitbit then?
Best regards tobbyasz.

You're right in that there is no need to disable heart rate monitoring to improve accuracy - quite the opposite.
Your calorie burn total is high but then again so is your step count and it's hard to know if it's incorrect as calorie burn is so dependant on your weight etc.
One possible reason for the difference to the Band is that fitbit includes the BMR calories (those you burn just keeping your body alive) - do you know if the band includes these?
Another reason could be that one of your profile settings is wrong (height, weight, age etc) so it's worth double checking them at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit

I've checked my settings they are ok. Are these high calorie numbers weird for a person with 190 cm height and 106 kg?

I'm not sure. I understand that there are calorie calculator tools on the web that you could google. I think fitbit use an algorithm similar to the Mifflin St Jeor method so a search for that should work.

Good morning @tobbyasz, and welcome to the Forums! If you're comparing Fitbit with any other band you'll notice always a higher amount of calories, this is because as @SteveH mentioned, your Fitbit Account will take in count the calories that your body burns when you're not exercising (you'll notice some calories upon walking up for example), and the calories from your workouts and daily steps. This is a plus, as your body keeps burning calories throughout the day, even you're not stepping.
If your Fitbit is giving you a good reading for steps and your personal details are correct, the calories burned for the day should be okay. And by the way, thank you for checking the setting information, that's important!
I'll be around if you need anything else.
