Trying to return Fitbit Surge to vendor (Target Dept Store). I have the receipt, it's only been two weeks, but I don't have the barcode that came on the exterior of the packaging. So Target will not allow a refund. There is no serial number or identifing marks on the exterior of the Fitbit Surge so without the barcode they are making the (bogus) argument that they can't verify that it's the same device as was originally purchased. Elevated issue to Target national return hotline and was given the same answer.
So, 1. don't lose the barcode and 2. Why can't Fitbit put a S/N on the actual device like every other watch I've ever bought.
I have a $250+tax fitness tracker that only tracks heart rate when I'm not actually exercising that I can't return. Really it's a resting-tracker.

Hi @BUC
Open the tracker page: https://www.fitbit.com/settings/device/tracker/
In the URL in the adress bar of the browser the serial number will be displayed after the 'tracker/' part.. possible to take a screenshot & print out.. or send by email.. as proof of the serial number (instead of the original barcode).
It can be required when on the tracker page (if the serial isn't shown) to right click on the tracker's button in the menu at the left side by 'devices', and copy the url, then remove the current url in the adress bar and paste the copies url by right click & 'paste' or pressing the ctrl + v key.. and then take a screenshot.. or take note of the serial number to be able to send by email..
This hopefully should be accepted.
