The past 4 days I have been walking on average 14 or so miles so my calories burned by the end of the day have been near 4000. I assumed this was right. I took my surge off last night as it was pretty low on battery so I didnt expect it to last the night to track my sleep and I couldn't be bothered finding the charger so just let it lay. Woke up this morning and it's still on but with close to no battery and says I've burned over 4000 calories by 9am. It also showed a heart rate when i wasn't wearing it. Every other screen is at 0. No steps, stairs, miles etc. Any ideas why this has happened? How can i reset it so it starts again for the day? I tried the home button and select button option but it came back on and still said 4000 odd calories.

Welcome aboard @Megandhi, good to see you here.  The only stat that will start counting right after midnight are your calories. The total calories burn you are seeing is the result of both the steps you've taken in a day, as well as your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR).

The number of calories that you see on your tracker when you wake up in the morning is your estimated calorie burn for the day so far. You still burn calories even if you have been sedentary or were sleeping. We estimate your calorie burn based on your age, gender, height and weight.

Hope this information helps, see you around.
