I have a new Surge Fitbit that I want to start using in place of an earlier model that stopped working. Yet, when I try to register the new one I can't do it because I get the message that there is already a Fitbit registered under than email address. How do I get rid of the old one so I can start using the new one (the Surge)?

It sounds like you are trying to set up a new fitbit account. You don't need to do this. Just logon to the app / computer using your existing fitbit account and then take the option to add a new device. It will ask if you want to replace your existing fitbit. Just say yes and follow the prompts. All your data, badges, settings etc will be retained.

Thanks for popping by the forums @Cheryl1, it's great to have your here! Adding to the information that @SteveH provided. In case that you're using "Fitbit Connect", you will find the option in your PC in this way (for old versions):
If you're using one of the newest computers, you can download the Fitbit App. If you prefer instructions using a mobile device, let me know.
Have a great day!
