Cannot Reset my Surge

I purchased a new Fitbit Surge 2 days back. My tracker does not go into the activity mode from the Home screen. I am also unable to reset/restart my tracker. I have tried holding down the Home and the 2 select buttons for almost a minute but still nothing happens. 

Please do let me know if there is something else that i can try to reset/restart my tracker.

I would take it back where ever you got it and exchange it.
