Challenge .vs. Actual Steps

So I am currently doing a challenge and the steps achieved over the last two days exceed the steps indicated by the challenge. Have attempted to sync a couple of times however the adjustment hasn't been made.

Does it take a while to reflect actual steps on the challenge?

Is the challange in the same time Zone? If it's in a different time zone your steps will not be the same as your dashboard.

@Ollie1507 , yes sometimes it does take a little while, or a couple of forced syncs, to update Challenge steps. The other reason for a discrepancy is, as @Redmoonstar says, if the person who initiated the Challenge is in a different timezone. The most usual reason for the difference is if some of your steps are manually logged or synced through a third party app. Only steps actually detected by your Fitbit count towards Challenges.

I'm having the same problem. Over 15.5k steps, and I've rebooted my phone, reinstalled the app, rebooted the FitBit Charge HR, and it still shows 12k in the Challenge. The originator is in the same time zone. I worked hard today & wanted the credit.

Also, I didn't manually add any steps...(I didn't know you could do that until I read the Help tbreads.). This was all from wearing my FitBit.

Welcome to the Community @Ollie1507! This is interesting, if you're still having issues with updating your steps to your challenge, I recommend that you force quit your Fitbit app. Sometimes the tracker syncs but the information needs to be refreshed.  Thank you @rmlawson4@Julia_G and @Redmoonstar for your support.
