I just purchased a Surge. I was told by Fit bit support that you can log meals and it will break down nutrition info. Where do I find this function ?

Online. At the Dashboard. Under "Log."

Or on the phone app.

Your choice.

Really, ZenGardner?

I've never been able to log meals, only individual foods.  That's why I linked it with "My Fitness Pal" so I can easily log recipes and it syncs automatically.  As far as I know, the FitBit app does not have the ability to log recipes.

It's right here:

And then add your ingredients:

I don't use it, as I prefer MFP for the ease of use and vastly superior and accurate database, but you can create a meal/recipe if you want.

Hello there @ErikG and @LadyArcadia!  I'd like to know if you were able to lo your meals as per @SunsetRunner's advice. I'd like to give the this process steps by step.

  1. On the food logging page, find Favorites on the right side and click the Meals tab.
  2. Click the blue "Create a meal" link and give the meal a name.
  3. Click Save, then in the Add Foods section you can begin to add the individual foods for this meal. After each food item, click the red Add to Meal button.
  4. When you are done, click the red I'm done button.

This can be done directly from your Dashboard. So I recommend adding all the individual ingredients only once. In that way, when you cook the same meal again you can adit to your food plan with just one click. Smiley LOL

Good luck!
