Yes, it could damage the Surge.

Sounds like it may be time to contact support.

The same thing has happened to a growing number of Surge owners, myself included. Unfortunately, I babied mine for 14 months (8 weeks past the warranty) before the condensation overcame it.

Mine is now little more than a paperweight, a 250 dollar paperweight. No offer to fix it, no reasonable offer to replace it, no apparent attempt to take responsibilty.

As many before me, they will generously offer a 25% discount toward a new purchase. Not likely, fool me once...

Was a huge believer of the product until this weekend and definitely today. Early adopter. Purchased a surge back in March of 15. Had a few small issues but nothing major. This weekend I went out for a run. Weather was very hot and humid. Got done with the run and had huge condensation under the screen. This has now turned to a screen that looks like the glass is shattered. I can't swipe or change activities. Called customer support and out of warranty. Same bs about a discount. It is clearly an issue with the product, but the company hinds behind a 1 year limited warranty. Too bad. I will never buy another product from this company. $250 tracker is a lot to pay for a product that last only 15 months.

I got my Surge in July.  Knew to keep it away from water because that's how I killed my tracker.

I had it in a bag of rice for 2 days and it's still fogging up.  Especially in cooler weather.  FWIW, this picture doesn't show how bad it gets but I thougth I'd share anyway!

Update... they are sending a replacement!  🙂

I think I have a good view of how bad it gets. Went on a white water rafting excursion and this is how my surge looks for the past 3 days now 😔😭😭1508197055890755642588.jpg
