A few days ago my surge went into a reboot loop, it would start up, then the screen will slowly fade and it would restart.

Tried all the restarting, removing from devices methods and nothing works, please provide some assistance to

@WingZero your device sounds like it's dying, I had one acting very similar to this, the startup, the fade, the restart. In my case it ended up being the battery, I'd opened up my Surge and she looked pregnant, LOL the battery had expanded to what must've been 5mm!!! I'd immediately removed it and popped in the new one and she's running perfectly again. It could also be your screen/digitizer, I've run into both scenarios, but with the screen fade and reboot it's almost always been a bloated battery.

You can buy new batteries on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, and a million other places. Cheers!

@WingZero YW. LMK if you have questions on installing. It's actually a fun project with rewarding results. Most aftermarket batteries are between 100-120mAh, the original Surge being 160mAh. You *can* find 160mAh batteries. With a 120, I'll get around 75% of the performance of the original, generally needing to charge every 2-3 days.

I bought a 160mAh Surge battery this week for $12 shipped! Normally, I'll use the 120s.

In this picture you'll see a dead Surge battery, it had expanded due to how LiPo batteries function and was pushing upward into the screen, causing weirdness even when it did work. This is the original "as installed by the factory" battery, I don't solder that sloppily, LOL and they leave enough that you don't need to add any. Good luck! 🙂
