My fitbit is not syncing up with my app on my phone. Is it anything which i should try?

I just had to restart mine to get it to sync. Hold the home and select buttons down for 10 to 15 seconds. The display will dim then shut off. After the screen goes black, wait 10 seconds and turn it back on. Hope this will fix it for you.

Lately, it seems, I have to break the link between surge and Bluetooth, then unpair it from fitbit app. Then re-pair it to the fitbit app. Been like this for a couple months and now have to do it almost daily, to get it to sync. Been looking at Garmin a lot lately, due to the lack of support and hassle.
