Best AnswerYou need to press the button on the left of your fitbit screen, then there should be some options. (Run, Exercise, Timer, Alarms, and Settings) Select Timer, and you should be off! You can select an option in the menu of the timer by pressing one of the buttons on the right, or tapping on the icon in one of the corners, no problem!

Good suggestion Brian; but none of the watch faces currently available have a second hand -
when I need to time something at work I use the Surge's timer function:
just hit the left (home) button to get back to normal watch face after the test or monitor is complete.
