Elevation Measurements

I have started using the RUN function when I play 5 a-side football. The stats provided are usefull exceptt the ELEVATION data which shows changes of up to 35ft which is interesting as I am playing indoors in the local sports centre which seems to me to have an extremely level flooor!

Is there some way of calibrating my Surge's elevation measurement or is there a way to turn it off while keeping the other data measurements?

The Surge uses barometric pressure to determine elevation gain/loss; it is highly likely the pressure changed inside the facility (either from weather related changes or due to climate control blowers cycling on and off) while you were playing which could equate to thirty-five feet.
