Elliptical Tracking and Accuracy

I've had my surge for almost two years. 3 days ago I finally started using the exercise tracker. I love how I don't have to manually enter my info when I exercise.  I love that it automatically reads my heart rate. How accurate is it though?!?

Elliptical 45 mins- avg Hr 125 bpm

2,037 calories burned

It didn't calculate my steps or my distance.  Is the accuracy correct due to my HR and how do I get it to read my steps and distance accurately?

They are two different technologies They will never match

Also Elliptical is not step based. So it will not count the steps when you use the exercise function.

If you want it to count some steps I would not use the exercise function. But dont expect accuracy as you are also holding on to the bars. Wrist trackers need to see the arms swinging.

Would the calorie count be accurate? It just seems a little high.
