I just received a replacement Surge and cannot seem to remove or re-order "Run" from the exercise shortcuts. Does anyone know how to remove? You're only supposed to have 7 shortcuts, but I have 8 (7 of my choosing and Run that appears to be permanent). On my previous Surge, I was able to put "Bike" as the first item on the list, but on the replacement I cannot seem to do that. As you can see from the image below, the "Run" item does not have the icon in front of it like all of the other items. Please Help as I do not run!

Welcome to the Community @PeteK25. Have you tried doing this from a computer? If you haven't, I recommend doing the following:
1. Go to Settings
2. Click Surge
3. Go to Exercise Shortcuts
4. Click Edit Exercise Shortcuts
5. Select the ones you prefer
6. Sync
At the moment of syncing your tracker with your Fitbit app it will correct automatically.
Let me know the outcome.

Thanks for stopping by guys! A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community family to our new friend @Aarruti!
Thanks a million for the feedback @Trikke! I'd like to clarify that since the Fitbit Surge is a Fitness Super Watch, it has some features by default for example the Run section on your Fitbit Screen. But you can also use the "Shortcuts" from the "Exercise" section.
When viewing the Menu, swipe left and right to see the different menu items. To choose a menu option, either press the Select button or just tap the screen on Exercise, as @WendyB mentioned above.
@Aarruti You can edit your "Excercise" Shorcuts in your Fitbit App > Account > Surge > Shortcuts. You can add, edit and rearrange the order of the workouts. If you're using a computer you will find the option on the Fitbit.com Dashboard under Settings > Surge > Shortcuts.
Hope this helps guys. Let me know if you have any other question!

Thank you for your response. I had my surge for more than two years, I actually pre order it. It never had run as an option under exercise and i had then customize in the order i liked. Run always had its own menu. Two weeks ago the screen started freezing allot specially after work outs where I could not swipe to the sides to view other things besides the clock or the run nenu. So I finally restarted the watch, now it works fine but have an extra shortcut (run) in excersice. I can't remove it, i tried from my app i tried from the website.

Hi @Aarruti! Thanks for getting back to me! I really appreciate the feedback.
I've just tried to recreate the issue from here and it happened the same thing that you explained. I'd suggest trying some steps one more time on the computer. Before to do so, log out and log back in from your Fitbit.com Dashboard, then click on the "gear" icon and choose the "Settings" option to edit Shortcuts.
If you still have the "Run" option under Shortcuts, unchecked the box and save it. Then sync your Fitbit and restart it. If it doesn't work, please attach a screenshot or picture of what you can see from there.
I'll be waiting for your reply!

You can't remove Run from what I can tell. When you attempt to edit exercise shortcuts, from the Dashboard, Run is not a checkbox and there is a message that states "Run tracking is always available on Surge. You can select up to seven activities"
Interesting decision and a degraded user experience.

Hi @pothole, I'm glad to see you here in the Forums, your comments are very important for us!
Thanks a million for the heads up! I noticed that in the last update for the Fitbit.com Dashboard the option "Run" is not anymore in the "Exercise ShortCuts" of the Surge. Although, there is a little confusion between "Exercise ShortCuts" and "Run ShorCuts". Before the update you could edit or remove the option Run from the "Exercise ShortCuts", but as there is already an specific section for "Run ShorCuts" with default run activities to pick; it was a little redundant.
Sorry if you feel bother about the fact that Fitbit Surge has not option to edit or remove the "Run ShorCuts", but as this is a Smart Fitness Watch based on steps activities such as run or walk; some workouts will be there by default.
You could add your vote and comments to this request in our Feature Suggestions board: Disable Run activity on Surge. The more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. This is the best way to make your voice heard.
See you around!
