I have absolutely loved this fitbit surge UNTIL you have to come to change the strap! It's is the single most stupid design I have ever come across and I am furious because I have broken the watch trying to change it......for the second time!!! Solve this problem. 2 watches for a stupid design fault.

The design of the Surge was that the strap could not be replaced. It's not surprising you find it difficult.

The strap is not designed to be easily changed, but there are YouTube videos explaining how to do it, and Amazon sells a replacement kit. My brother found it fairly easy to do following the video.

My 2 year old Surge strap broke a week or so ago. This it the most demotivating part about owning Fitbit products. I have been a loyal Fitbit owner for many years I have progressed from the first tracker ,to a number of Ones and then I bought an upgrade to a surge. Only to find that this expensive tracker has a design life of one watch strap. I have worn the same watch for many many years and had many straps. Why would the designers at fit bit think that a non replaceable strap was a even remotely a good idea.
This product is a complete fail.
