Fitbit Surge stuck in the setup screen

I just bought my fitbit today and has been charging for 3 hours. It is stuck on the setup screen and pressing the home button does not seem to do anything.

I don't want to have to take it back to the store I bought it from just to have then help set it up....it shouldn't be so difficult!

Welcome to the Community @Skydiver97402! I understand you, but don't worry, I would like to ask you something, which device are you using to set it up your Surge? Is an Android device or a Computer? If you haven't tried to pair it your tacker with a computer, I suggest you to try it by following these instructions. However if the issue persists, I suggest you to get in touch with Fitbit Support directly so they can investigate this issue and offer you a proper solution.

Thank you for your reply. There is no option to scroll down when the setup
page opens. The only options that I have are to go to the windows store and
to check for compatible devices.

I have downloaded the app on both my computer (windows 10) and my phone
(android). Neithet one will update the tracker. The tracker had now charged
24 hours and the battery is still only half full. I'm certain that it had
to be defective.

Thanks for getting back @Skydiver97402! Sounds pretty weird that your Surge is not updated. In this case, is better if you contact Fitbit Support, so they can see what is going on with your tracker and offer you an alternative solution.
