Dear Fitbit I have just returned my surge for credit this is the second Fitbit in 8 months with strap failure. I'm sorry but I won't be back until you can design a durable product. I felt really sad to see the surge go, I loved it! so please sort yourselves out and that fragile strap so I can rejoin you soon.

Hi, @Jamesjblee! All of the Fitbits that have been released since the Surge (Blaze, Alta, Charge 2, Flex 2) have replaceable bands which should not have the same issue, since they don't have electronics with an elastomer cover glued on them. If you still want a Fitbit product, I suggest you check them out. I have a Blaze and a Charge 2 and they're both awesome. The only thing they're missing with respect to the Surge is the on-board GPS. They both have connected GPS that uses the phone's GPS.
