Pretty disapointed with Fitbit. The one thing that has kept me with the fitbit ecosystem is their dedication to customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
My surge band tore at the screws within months and had to be replaced, now the battery is dead. Over $300 for a watch with a life expectancy of 60 days to a year. But hey Fitbit stands behind the product so no sweat right? Well I guess i was wrong. They will not replace it and offered a 25% discount and a crappy subscription to their premium service.
Fitbit i am pretty disapointed. These are obvious design flaws if you want people to invest in your new technology then please support them when something gets overlooked. The competitionhas caught up if not surpassed you and without customer support the incentive to stay is gone

I just posted that my band is failing too. I will not accept a 25% discount; rather I will take my business elsewhere. Think about it, my first Fitbit Surge cost me $230 + 8.75% sales tax = $250.13. The band breaks out of warranty 13 months later and they offer a 25% discount (mine is actually in warranty). Assuming the same price $230/1.25=$184 plus 8.75% sales tax = $200.10. Therefore in under two years I would have spent $450.23 on Surges. Not even gonna happen bro. I'll cut my losses and find a go with a Garmin, Apple Watch, or something. Because if you consider that if you stick with the Surge, you are going to be repeat customer replacing Surges thus making the Apple Watch in the long run seem like the better deal.
I could probably use the strap on my G-Shock to tow a boat trailer in a pinch, it is that tough. It's like Fitbit expects us to walk down the proverbial down a dark alley for them to mug us, and then expect us to walk down that same alley over and over again. Thanks, but I'll take my chances elsewhere.
