Fitbit surge band

My surge is 7 months old, the second device. 1st device had a defective battery so they sent a new one. This second device the strap has cracked at the screws and pulled away from the watch part causing a sharp edge. This is a known problem with this watch by fitbit support and the only help they will give is 25% off a new one. I would not recommend this watch to anyone knowing this now. $250 for at most a tracker that may last a year. It makes me sick to save up and buy this and now i have nothing. I cant afford another one even with 50% off this product should last for the price.

Fitbit have to honor the company policies, it's out the hands of the most awesome community.

They released new trackers a while ago, the Fitbit Alta & Blaze which have exchangeable bands. The Blaze has a more secure wristband like the Surge & Charge HR.

The Blaze has heart rate, a coloured screen, fitstar exercises on the tracker, and much more. Both the Alta & Blaze come with a classic band, but it's possible to get a leather or metallic one to (as accessoires).

Both the classic and leather bands come in multiple colours to choose from.

Fitbit will not recieve any more of my money. Ill give it garmin or polar.I wanted the surge for the heart rate and gps. No other fitbit offers both. The bands now with new trackers are interchangeable because fitbit saw the issues with the surge. They should work on a replacement band for the surge or give people an option to go with a different tracker if or when they have band issues.

@Bcalder133 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Sorry to see you go! Actually, the Fitbit Blaze includes connected GPS feature. Click here to learn more about the Fitbit Blaze awesome features. It is actually cheaper than the Surge and with the discount you have, you can get a great deal there.

Hopefully we can see you back with Fitbit again! Smiley Happy

Actually the blaze doesnt have the same gps the surge does, but you know that already. I will just put electrical tape on the band and to be sure to let everyone i pass on the street that your product is sub- par. But hopefully your future customers will check these forums and see how many people are dealing with this same issue.

Great to see you around @Bcalder133 and thanks for the feedback. As mentioned, you can use that 25% discount to purchase any of our trackers. I recommend checking this page where you will be able to compare all of our trackers and select the one you like the most. Also, I recommend checking our warranty policy.

Catch you later. Woman Happy
