I've turned my Surge off for several months a couple of times; I've found all I need to do is synch my tracker either via the phone or the Fitbit Connect app and the time and date are reset.

When I got the surge like you,the date and time were wrong,try syncing it to your phone or I pad.

Hi there, @Rosashellie! It is nice to see you all! In this case, as our friends suggested it was probably because you didn't use it for a long time, but at the time you sync all your information including time and date will be corrected. Also, make sure your phone's Bluetooth is On and there is good internet connection.
@shipo, @harrypotter2, thanks for your help! ![]()
At the moment there is no Australia phone number, however you can contact them by chat or email.
Let us know how it goes! 🙂

I had forgotten to recharge my Surge and it was drained for a couple of days. After I recharged it the time wouldn't sync even though the Fitbit app said it was synced. It would sync the activities & HR but not the time. I only use the clock dial so I don't know if the date was off too.
Resetting (home + lower right keys) didn't fix it, messing around with bluetooth didn't fix it, shutting it down didn't fix it. I think I did some other things on the fitbit app but nothing worked. The only solution that worked for me was to log into fitbit.com, where I had setup the device, hit the gear icon in the upper right-> Settings. Under Advanced settings I changed the timezone to UTC -7, hit submit, then waited until it synced with the watch. Oddly enough, the watch then showed the time for UTC -6, which is the correct time. I changed the timezone on the website to UTC -6 and had it sync. It stayed on the correct time. Perhaps messing around with the time settings on the website will fix your Surge. I hope this works for you.
