My Surge does get confused on a regular basis, and the fuzzy logic sometimes is very fuzzy.

I did a mountain pass in my car over December, which was a long slow drive uphill in 4x4 due to a very basic dirt road.  I was rather suprised to get a badge for doing in excess of 500 floors.

When I ride my Motorbike, the Surge believes I am doing some form of excercise as todays 20 minute motor cycle ride saw me credited with 4 floors and 1400 steps.

One wonders how the fuzzy logic picks up excercise vs non excercise.

It is the three axis thingy in the watch. If you are on a bouncy track in a car or bike your arm moves up and down which equates to steps. If the pressure changes the barometer logs it as floors climbed. No watch can be 100 percent accurate
